Shipping & returns
Delivery across South Africa in 5 to 7 days. It is free on orders of R750 or more, and a flat R300 below that.
You have the right to cancel within seven days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act. You pay the direct cost of returning them, which is what section 44(2) provides.
Section 44(3) requires the refund within 14 days of cancellation, and in practice we process it as soon as the goods reach us.
Section 42(2) excludes goods made to your own specifications from the section 44 cooling-off right, so that right does not apply to a made-to-measure screen once we have started making it.
If it arrives faulty, damaged or not as described we put it right at no cost to you.
We've used this company before and have no issues at all. They are very prompt in dispatching the order in that we received our product within the week of ordering. Excellent product
Highly recommend
Great product well packed and delivered. Anxious moments coz the order close to my leaving Bangkok.
Suggestion: should also provide installation either by the supplier or recommended installer

Easy to use web site and secure check out made shopping stress free.
Ordered what I needed, ordered and it was shipped quickly and arrived with out issue.
Enough packaging to protect, recyclable paper inside the plastic delivery envelope.
I purchased the chain screen door to keep bugs out. First, I don't think it keeps the mosquitoes out of the house. Second, it is very easily damaged as people pass through it -- the chains catch on clothes or things that people are carrying. Third, my dog has been able to pull it down multiple times. Fourth, the hangers are very wobbly and it sometimes falls down with just the slightest tug. Customers are not able to post reviews of products on the website, so buyer beware. I asked the company for a refund/credit, and they refused saying it had been too long since purchase (6 months) and that no one else has complained so it must be my fault. Of course, they don't allow reviews so there is no way to know. Regardless, very unhappy with product and service.
It was very easy to order. I had to order a tailor-made product, and when it arrived, it was perfect. I did not have to wait a long time to receive my order and the delivery was seamless
I ordered 3 screen kits & they arrived promptly. Easy to install, and I had left over material I was easily able to adapt to 3 other smaller windows. I recommend buying some extra corner clips if you intend to use the extra materials. The screens look good - a great option for casement windows needing customized screens. Note - for shipping to the Netherlands I had to pay tax on top of the purchase price.
Fifteen sizes, from 60cm x 210cm for a narrow side entrance up to 180cm x 240cm for a wide patio door. Measure the frame rather than the door leaf, then pick your size above.
The magnetic seam runs the full height of the screen, so it opens as you walk through and pulls itself shut the moment you're past.
Choose black, brown or white. The colour doesn't change the price, and the right one more or less disappears against your frame.
Midge mesh keeps flies, mosquitoes, wasps and midges out while the breeze still gets through, and you can see the garden.
A stitched velcro strip presses onto the door frame in a few minutes. Nothing is drilled, so it suits rentals, and it folds up for winter.

Got questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes does the magnetic screen door come in?
Fifteen of them. Widths go from 60cm to 180cm, each in a 210cm or a 240cm height, so a narrow side entrance and a wide patio slider are both covered. Measure the frame opening, not the door leaf. If your frame falls between two sizes, take the larger one, because the mesh can overlap the edge but it can't stretch.
How do I measure for a magnetic screen door?
Measure the width across the door frame and the height from the sill to the top of the frame. The screen fixes around the opening, so the frame measurement is the one that matters.
Does it really close on its own?
Yes. The magnets run the full height of the centre seam, so once you're through, the two halves pull back together from top to bottom. No latch to catch and nothing to pull shut behind you.
Does the colour change the price?
No. Black, brown and white all cost the same. Pick the one that matches your frame. Black gives the clearest view out, brown suits timber and white suits uPVC.
Will it work on a sliding or patio door?
Yes. Fit it to the frame surround and pick the size that matches your opening. Patio doors are usually the wider end of the range, so look at the 160cm and 180cm widths.
Do I need to drill anything?
No. A velcro strip stitched to the screen presses onto the door frame, and that is the whole fixing. No tools, which is why it is fine for rented homes, and it comes off cleanly at the end of summer.
Can pets get through it?
Cats and dogs usually learn to push through the magnetic seam within a day, which is what most owners want. If a pet is rough with mesh, look at the heavier pet-grade screens instead.
Does the mesh block the breeze?
No. It's fine enough to stop flies and mosquitoes but open enough to let air move through, which is the whole point of fitting one in summer.
Do I add anything to my measurements?
Yes, and people miss this. Allow 2 cm at the top and 2 cm on each side for the velcro strip that is stitched to the screen. Every size in the range already accounts for a frame of that opening.
How many magnets are in the seam?
Up to 40, sewn into the fabric down the full height of the centre. Cheap supermarket screens run 26 or fewer, which is why their seams gape in the middle.
What mesh is it?
Midge mesh at 15 x 17 density. It is a step up from the thin nylon used on budget screens: it holds its shape, resists chemical corrosion and does not crease.
Will it keep midges out as well as flies?
Yes. The mesh is the upgraded midge grade, so it stops midges and the smaller biting insects along with flies, mosquitoes and wasps.
What tools do I need to fit it?
None. The velcro strip is stitched on and presses onto the door frame. No drill, no screws, nothing to hire.
Will it damage my door frame?
No. Nothing is drilled and nothing is screwed, so the frame is untouched. That is the reason it works in a rental.
Can I take it down and put it back up?
Yes. It comes off the frame, folds up small for storage, and goes back on next spring. Plenty of people run them seasonally.
Will it fit a sliding or patio door?
Yes, if the opening matches. Measure the frame across and up, then take the size that your opening comes to. Sliding and patio doors usually land at the wider end, so check the 160cm and 180cm widths.
Will it fit a caravan or a motorhome?
Yes. It suits single doors, sliding doors, caravans and RVs, as long as you have a flat frame face for the velcro to press onto.
Can children walk through it on their own?
Yes, easily. That is really the point. The seam parts as they walk into it and the magnets pull it shut behind them, so there is no handle to reach and nothing to leave propped open.
Will my dog learn to use it?
Most dogs work it out in a day, and cats usually faster. If a pet is hard on mesh, look at a pet-grade screen instead.
Does it close on its own every time?
That is what the heavy black magnets are for. The seam pulls together from top to bottom rather than just in the middle, so it closes the same way on the hundredth pass as the first.
Can I see out through it?
Yes. The mesh lets light and air in and you can see the garden through it. From outside, in daylight, it reads as a dark doorway rather than a curtain.
Does it block the breeze?
No. Air moves through it freely. Leaving the door open on a warm evening without letting insects in is the whole reason to fit one.
How do I clean it?
Take it off the frame and wash it in warm soapy water, then hang it to dry before you put it back. It is easy to clean and it does not hold crease marks.
How do I open the package?
Carefully, and not with scissors or a blade. The mesh is folded inside the bag and a sharp tool can nick it. Open the bag by hand.
What if my doorway is between two sizes?
Go up, not down. Mesh will happily overlap a frame edge. It will not stretch to cover a gap, and a gap is exactly where insects get in.
What if my doorway is bigger than the largest size?
Ask before you order. These are made in set sizes and also made to order, so an unusual opening is a quote rather than a dead end.
Will it blow about in the wind?
In a strong gust it will move, the same as any curtain screen. The magnets bring it back together as soon as the gust passes.
Does the colour affect how well it works?
No. Black, brown and white are the same screen and the same price. Black gives the clearest view out because dark mesh is easier for your eye to see past.
How long does it take to fit?
Minutes. Line the screen up on the frame, press the velcro strip down from the top, and check the two halves meet cleanly down the middle.
How long will it last?
It is built for a long service life: a sturdier mesh than the cheap nylon versions, corrosion resistant, with the magnets sewn into the fabric rather than glued on.
The complete guide
Choosing a magnetic screen door
4 min readMagnetic Screens
Which size do you need?
The screen comes in fifteen sizes. Widths run from 60cm up to 180cm, each in a 210cm or a
240cm height depending on the width, so the same screen fits a narrow side entrance or a wide
patio slider. The full list sits in the size picker above with the price against each one, and
it updates as you change your pick.
Before you order, measure the door frame, not the door itself. The screen fixes around the
opening, so the frame width and the height from the sill to the top of the frame are the two
numbers you need. Allow 2cm at the top and 2cm at each side for the velcro strip.
If your measurement sits between two sizes, go up rather than down. Mesh will overlap a frame
edge without any trouble. It will not stretch to cover a gap, and a gap is exactly where insects
find their way in.
Nothing in the range fits? The openings we can't cover off the shelf get made to measure, so send
us the numbers and we'll quote it.
How a magnetic screen door works
A magnetic screen door is two panels of fine mesh joined down the middle by a magnetic strip. You
walk into it, the seam parts, and once you're through the magnets pull it closed again from top to
bottom. No handle, no latch. That's why it gets used when a hinged screen door sits propped open
all summer.
The detail that separates a good one from a cheap one is the closure. Budget screens use a handful
of spaced magnets, which shut the middle but leave the top and bottom gaping just enough for
insects. A full-height strip closes the whole seam.
Picking a colour
Colour doesn't change the price, so choose on looks and visibility. Black gives the clearest view
out, because dark mesh is easier for your eye to see through than light mesh. White and brown are
about the frame: a white screen on a white uPVC frame reads as part of the door, while a black one
outlines it.
Fitting it, and taking it down again
Fitting takes a few minutes. The velcro strip is already stitched to the screen, so it presses
straight onto the door frame. Nothing is drilled and nothing is permanent, which is why this
suits rentals as well as owned homes, and why most people take it down over winter and put it back
up in spring.
Looking after it
Wipe the mesh down when it gets dusty. If it needs more than that, take the whole screen off, wash
it in warm soapy water, and let it dry fully before refitting. Keep the magnetic strip clear of
grit so the seam keeps closing flush.
Magnetic Screen Door in fifteen sizes from 60 x 210 cm to 180 x 240 cm: a self-closing insect screen with a full-height magnetic seam that opens as you walk through and snaps shut behind you, hands free. Widths run 60cm to 180cm in a 210cm or 240cm height, so the range covers a narrow side entrance through to a wide patio or sliding door. Midge mesh at 15 x 17 density keeps flies, mosquitoes, wasps and midges out while letting air through. Available in black, brown or white at the same price. Fits with a stitched velcro strip that presses onto the door frame, with no tools and no drilling, so it suits rented homes and folds up for storage. Up to 40 magnets are sewn into the seam.
